4 Day School Week Introduced
4-Day School Week Pilot Program Approved

As of Wednesday, August 13, 2009 Maranatha's application for a 4-Day School Week Pilot Program has been granted final approval.  The calendar is in the process of being updated to reflect the proposed calendar to the Wisconsin Conference of Seventh-day Adventists K-12 Education Board.  The decision to pilot this program was carefully considered, and began with a parent request for consideration in May.  Upon reflection and interviewing of parents, it was felt that students would benefit from longer schooldays to have more meaningful blocks of learning time, and yet have an appropriate time for rest and family interaction.  There are some Friday's where school will be in session due to either a Monday Holiday, Special Activity, or and adjustment to Vacation Days to allow for trips at Holiday times.  Additionally, due to the change in calendar, there may be Friday's during the winter where we will need to attend school to make up Snow Day's.  This will be determined as we are in the winter driving and see how our weather is.
