Christmas Vespers

On Friday, December 14th at 7:00 pm, the students of Maranatha School and their siblings presented Rebecca’s Shawl: A Look at Jesus’s Birth, at Christ’s Community Church.  Students prepared the traditional presentation of Joseph, Mary, and Baby Jesus, along with the company of Shepherds, Wisemen, and Angels.  As we were in need of extra help, our siblings were invited to help fill out the shepherds, angels, and at the last minute a wiseman roles.  The audience was invited was to help us by singing Christmas Carols while Mrs. Rosanna Zeismer played the piano during the transitions of scenes.  The Vespers were concluded with: a speech by Kristin Zeismer, a special presentation of Joy to The World by Joseph on the recorder, and then closing thoughts by Mrs. Zeismer.  After the congregation stood and sang Joy to the World, the students dismissed the congregation by rows and then everyone had the opportunity to join in the treats provided by Home and School.

(Special Thank-you to Jenny Goss and her helpers!)
